Seniors in the grip of deathly senioritis, grad students with too much time on their hands, join the Philomathean's Society popular spring semester wine course! The six sessions will be hosted once again in the 19th century halls (4th floor of College Hall) of the Society. Relax in the library as our Wine School of Philadelphia instructor teaches us all there is to know about wine (or at least all you need to know to impress) while enjoying one of the best views of Center City on campus.

We will be meeting from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday evenings, starting Feb. 6th (next week) going through until March 120th. Six 2-hour sessions for $150 - it doesn't get better than this (compare to http://www.vinology.com). Taste dozens of wines for $12.50 an hour. If you can't make it to all the sessions, send a friend! The class is limited to 30 Penn students of legal drinking age.

The Accelerated Wine Foundation Program

Developed by the Wine School of Philadelphia, this program is now a standard in wine education. Its emphasis on sensory evaluation and plain talk is invaluable to both consumers and wine professionals.

This unique and intensive program is based on cutting-edge research undertaken at the Monell Institute in Philadelphia and at the University of California, Davis. "The only chemistry class you will leave laughing" is how our students describe our smart-but-fun approach to wine education. Taught by university instructors and professionals, the Foundation program is truly a unique & enjoyable learning experience.
