Philo Halls

The Philomathean Meeting Room

The Philomathean Halls consist of the entirety of College Hall’s fourth floor and are the home, headquarters, mothership, and roost of the Philomathean Society.

The Halls consist of a Library, a Meeting Room, and an Art Gallery as well as work rooms and storage for the Society’s extensive archives.

The Halls are constantly in use for Society activities and events, all of which are free and open to the public. For details on our next events, check out our home page or our calendar!

If you are a Penn student or faculty group and wish to make use of the Halls for a public event that advances the Society’s mission (to increase the learning of the members/students and the academic prestige of the University), please contact the Moderator. The Art Gallery specifically is frequently used by external groups and artists for exhibitions – see the Art Gallery site for more details on using the space.
